You think this has nothing to do with you. You go to Starbucks, and you order an oat milk cappuccino with caramel and cinnamon, because you’ve decided you’re above caring about your coffee order. But what you don’t realize is that coffee, much like cerulean sweaters, is never just coffee.
In case you’re blithely unaware, when you order that oat milk cappuccino with caramel and cinnamon, you’re actually ordering Andy’s Cappuccino. An iced chai latte with almond milk and sugar-free caramel? That’s Emily’s Fave Iced Chai.
Both dairy-free drinks are part of Starbucks’ new “The Devil Wears Prada 2” menu, which imagines four of the film’s iconic characters’ coffee orders.
Could Andy (played by Anne Hathaway) have had a vegan epiphany and be ditching fur and leather in the upcoming film? Her drink is completely plant-based as-is, after all. Emily Blunt’s namesake character is almost there with her—her dairy-free order is nearly vegan-friendly if it weren’t for Starbucks’ chai concentrate, which contains honey. Skip this one.
Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly prefers an extra-shot, extra-hot no-foam caffè latte with nonfat milk. Veganize the publishing legend by swapping in your favorite dairy alternative. A latte with oat milk? Groundbreaking.
As for Nigel—aka the sometiimes vegan-friendly cook Stanley Tucci? His go-to doppio is a little harder to veganize, but if you really wanted to, it can be done. It’s a Doppio Espresso Con Panna, two espresso shots pulled over mocha sauce and topped with whipped cream. The mocha sauce is already vegan; just skip the whipped cream for a rich, chocolaty espresso.
“Starbucks has been part of The Devil Wears Prada universe since the original film,” said Erin Silvoy, senior vice president of global marketing at Starbucks, in a statement. “We’re excited to bring that connection to life again, giving fans a way to step into the moment—starting with their daily coffee.”

If you’re a Nate sympathizer (if you know, you know), you can also opt for Starbucks’ new Refreshers lineup. Flavors include Mango Strawberry Refresher, Mango Strawberry Energy Refresher, and Mango Strawberry Lemonade Refresher, along with two creamy coconut milk options: Mango Dream and Mango Dream Energy.
Adrian Grenier, who played Nate in the original The Devil Wears Prada, teamed up with Starbucks to promote the new range. “He raises a Starbucks Energy Refresher toast to Nate,” states Starbucks. “Nate’s love for his girlfriend (to a point), and that birthday he may have loved a little too much.”

The drinks follow several dairy-free options introduced in Starbucks’ spring menu earlier this year, including an Iced Lavender Latte and a Lavender Crème Frappuccino.
To order the new character drinks, head to the Starbucks app. “From first sip to final scene, Starbucks invites customers to dress up, order up, and attend fashion’s biggest event of the year: The Devil Wears Prada 2 In theaters May 1,” says Silvoy.
